I went shopping this weekend. No, let me rephrase. I wanted to buy some clothes this weekend but after 3 different stores and a couple of very exasperated sighs, I came home garment-less.
It's not really that cold out here during the day; but at night and in the morning, it's really necessary to have some warm clothes. Problem is: there ain't none.
I don't know if anyone else has had this problem. I'm no longer a teenager but I'm also not an old maid or a soccer mom. So what the heck am I supposed to wear?
Granted, there aren't very many stores in the grand old town of Roswell..but you would think that I would at least be able to find a decently cute and warm long sleeve shirt. Nope. No chance.
I used to love fashion and dressing up when I was in high school. I actually still do really enjoy it when I know there's not a chance of having to change every hour because Camp's around.
But every store I've been to lately has little shirts that either cut off at the belly button or are about as thin as a cheap tissue. Who in the world thought that was a good idea?
And then there's the issue with these blessed skinny jeans...did you know that about 70% of American's are overweight? So realistically, who are they making skinny jeans for? Wishful thinkers? Just saying.
Please don't think I'm promoting obesity or anything. I just wonder why they don't make "I wish I was skinny but I have curves" jeans or "look at me, I'm normal" pants.
Oh well, a girl can dream. I just found myself with money to spend and nothing to spend it on...and I was in desperate need of some retail therapy.
Then I remembered why I love Goodwill so much. Because old stuff actually kept ya warm and covered your stretch marks. Oh well, I reckon I'm just ranting. I just wonder if anyone else has run into this problem and if so, how do you deal with it?
I'm thinking eBay or Amazon.com. Where's your favorite place to shop?
I do know one thing; there are going to be a lot of cold young ladies this winter...
